Methodology notesA billable student is defined as a student enrolled in the Medical Assistance program who has an eligible health-related service in their IEP. These are the students for whom LEAs are eligible to bill Medicaid when families have provided consent and services have been authorized by a doctor or nurse practitioner. Figures are from the FY25 school year. FY26 data has not yet been submitted as of publication.
